Stereoscopic Head Mounted Display

Real Time Interactive Stereoscopic Virtual Reality

The concept of wearing a monitor in front of each eye is called a HMD or Head Mounted Display.

Active Passive Stereoscopic System

The newly developed active passive stereoscopic system fits into the unified vr2go™ concept. The left and right eye computers are controlled independently to provide high quality stereo imaging. The head mounted display positions the left and right scenes directly in front of each eye. Using a computer for each eye increases performance and resolution. Traditional stereoscopic HMD’s control the stereo imaging by page switching the left eye image with the right eye image by a single computer. This adds addition load on the computer and in turn lowers performance and reduces quality.

The new vr2go™ virtual reality technology makes it easy to create real time interactive walk-throughs. Now virtual reality content can be developed using Lightwave™, Maya™, 3D Studio Max or from 3D or CAD drawings. The interactive walk-through can be viewed in three ways: on the Web, with stereoscopic video glasses and in a viewing room (images projected on three adjoining walls and the floor). This technology uses artists, animators and architects not programmers to create virtual reality content.
